Another note but it's a shame LaVey went with the name Satanism--he explains why he did this as "Man needs ceremony and ritual, fantasy and enchantment." as to fulfill emotional attachment to the movement--because from what I've read from the first 70 pages has really got my noggin racking. It's a very interesting line of thought in the way it works itself out in its application to people and nature. An example of which would be his flipping of the seven deadly sins as good things that weigh each-other out really had me thinking, because it does make sense, even after I meditated on it. Now at the same time, all of this is BURIED under copious amounts of edgy angst haha. Unrelated, but it's a true shame 764 branoobs stole the black sulfur symbol for their gay logo, it's a very sharp design. I hope to finish the text tomorrow or over the weekend.

God is all good, nothing good would exist without God
Satanists are exploiting everything good that God gave them (most likely indulging in hedonistic activities that harms their own body [our body is God's temple]) and then proceed to worship the embodiment of evil (or at best have him as their "symbol")

Finished my read. I'm letting it stir in my head for awhile. Interesting content that proved to me that beyond namesake and unread imbeciles posing as being part of the movement, it couldn't be any further from "evil". If anything the text spoke against the latter group, as "to give one’s own life for something as impersonal as a political or religious issue is the ultimate in masochism." which couldn't be further from what the feds behind so many "Satanic" telegrams and groups in general have been doing. The latter portion of the text describing ritual and magic was another mentally dense text to sift through, as the supposed magic is more akin to the law of attraction then it is the utter filth written about in historically recorded Black Masses, which funnily enough LaVey argues to be nothing more than a fib sourced from the churches greed to make mothers clamor to baptize their children through payed services. Once again, I'll let it simmer and stir and form an opinion of my own. I'd be lying if I said there weren't good points raised beneath the anti-Christian and anti-Eastern occultism air seeping throughtout the pages. I'd recommend some of you give it a read sometime, the edgy act drops part way through so don't worry yourself too much about it.

"Satan" only translates to "adversary". Seeing as it is direct opposition to Christianity, it is no wonder that some "Satanist" groups took on mindless rape and murder as their core concepts and ran with it. It is equally no wonder why many others took "Satanism" on as basic hedonistic thought with emphasis on loving those who deserve it rather than all. There's a million ways one could interpenetrate the concept of "anti-Christianity", even if most are--due to that very nature--abrasive to the average man.
